World's Worst Phone... byebye
Jun. 19th, 2015 02:42 amSome of you might recall that I delved into a 'smartphone' a couple of years ago when VirginMobile offered a smartphone plan for $35 .. the service was great, but oft I've commented how the phone is HORRID. This Kyocera Rise was plagued with random restarts, crashes, inconveniences (like deciding to shut the audio off spontaneously so I don't get calls or notifications), ..and just about the world's most awful camera too for bad measure.
Two years ago I'd had a dumbphone text/call plan with MetroPCS before, and they were ok at $32 ..but for $3 more I was wanting to try the bit of a telecom upgrade.
Now MetroPCS is back with a $30 smartphone plan... so while I was slightly hesitant to leave VirginMobile, I reeeeeally hate that phone..... and... Metro is also giving a $50 credit this month towards a new phone and no transfer fees or anything... plus the Metro is 4G and Virgin is still 3G, which is basically like dial-up.
SO! ... The new phone is the Alcatel/Lucent Fierce 2 .. *tailwags* ... So far it's been amazing... though these Galaxy-size phones are a smidge larger than I really like... hopefully it won't be too unwieldy ... woot!
