ceagleTuesday is bargain movie night. It's a half or even a third of the price to go to the show at local theaters here, so I saw some pix this and last Tuesday.
Gravity was so-so. Very predictable, poor dialogue, and a character (even though everyone displayed pretty good acting) that insists on doing everything wrong... sooooo frustrating to sit through that.
Free Birds was quite a bit better. And though the dialogue wasn't echelons better, the visuals were charming, the story was uplifting, and if you accept the level of magic that must be believed to enter the belief-mode for the established world it lives in, it delivers a pretty sweet and lightweight reward.
...and a story that wants you to eat more pizza ;D
