If you've never been in a chorus, you might enjoy this arrangement breakdown of a harmonic canticle (and even if you have been in one, it might be a fun lil' review)... showing the magic of mixed voices and where they are placed in a song. ^v^ *wags tail* ..

The top line is the lead, and the lower line is the accompaniment progression:

Why Do Kids Grow Up - by Neil Levenson - performed by Randy and the Rainbows

enjoy ^v^

This should surely have been posted alongside you demonstrating each part separately, then together. ^_^

That's a splendid idea!! I might just do that! ^v^ ... (though musical postings get so few comments, I do wonder how many people would pause to enjoy it as you do...) *blush beak*

I am an contralto myself. Altos are the lowest female register, and very useful.

But even before I ended up with a paralyzed vocal cord in surgery 10 years ago, singing music was not my forte. I was kicked out of a mandatory choir tryout in school because I was terrible.

....percussion is, however, where I do my best. Give me a marimba and yarn mallets!
