"Public Storage" just ran an ad on TV with the slogan, "we'll treat your stuff like our stuff".. and I just had to Blurt with an uncontrollable spit-take laugh!!

When I had my stuff there (in the 1990s) they DID just that!... Turns out some of the managers had an inside-scheme where they were busting into people's lockers and pretending it was outsiders... until they got caught!.... Happened TWICE to me before I hustled my stuff outa there... the first time they were just casing the joint.. second time I lost some 1984 Olympics stuff.. :/

Probably a lotta other people fared much worse, but I never heard if they were fined or jailed or what...

Egad! How'd they get caught? (CCTV, presumably)

I wish I'd been able to rescue the stuff I'd had in storage back in San Diego.. there were a few bits and pieces I'd really have liked to hang on to, like the Gex stand-up, and my very own original BBC Micro Model A+a bit. ^_^ (Effectively a Model B, which I'd upgraded myself, as money permitted)

oooo... I don't recall xacly how.... but I think when I went to the cops to report it, I heard about it over at the police station, so maybe someone reported before me and they staked it out :>
Sorry to hear about your SanDieggo losses too... eeep!

"Only"?? Wow, that's how much I'm currently trying to get for my entire Roger Rabbit collection! (minus the production cel of Roger). Makes me wonder if I should just get rid of it at this point...

That's terrible! I'm still trying to locate some wine glasses that went into storage after my divorce. They were the most beautiful ones I'd seen for sale. Transparent-irradescent gold coated for white and transparent-mercury for red. I can't remember if I kept the gold or silver! Last I saw of them was packing them for storage. Ah well!

1984 Olympics? Did you get to go? How completely cool! I would LOVE to go to an Olympics.

I was pretty jealous when one of my cousins, of course, had to go to this past Summer's London Olympics. I've about decided I hate ALL of them!

My Ex-husband ended my relationship with them when we were married by refusing to attend most family events.

I was always angry about it, but now I think he was absolutely RIGHT. I was mostly happy with him without them. People liked me at work.
I had a lot of friends like Swandog who encouraged me to meet new people. I discovered I loved playing pool!
I travelled all over the place and had people mostly like me.
When we broke up, I had a good choice of single normal guys to date.
I NEVER got made fun of for having an African-American-Ass.
And my friends did not strut about being "better" than everybody else.

Sorry, I'm trying to figure out exactly who needs to go. I'm tired of being in toxic relationships.
Being online with EVERYBODY I had no choice about as a kid has created issues I dealt with years ago.

Sorry to hear about the issues.... :/ ...I sure hope you can come to a workable solution soon..... *wing hug*...
I did actually get to go to one competition event, yup... and several 'commemorative' events, since I was doing some photography for them at the time ^v^ .. *wags tail*
