It amused me that the demand that brought back the dollar coin for use as change in vending machines outpaced the supply of Susan B's stored in vaults and the Sac dollars weren't ready yet, that they actually minted new Susan B. dollars in 1999.

Date: 2008-04-30 04:00 pm (UTC)I actually have not had anyone spend either a Sakajawea dollar or a Carter Quarter as of yet. Normally the only way these get into circulation is if someone has bought a train ticket or postage stamps with a $20 and gotten them as change.
