...but I just heard that the singer Skeeter Davis has passed away... :<

I'll always remember her for being very sweet, and ... for knocking my socks off with surprise, when she *called me* a few months after I met her, just for a friendly chat. *boggle* Totally not a normal expectation of a celebrity... I almost couldn't talk. *ulp*

:( Sounds like you had a close encounter with someone exceptionally special. Despite your nerves, you will fondly remember that call for the rest of your life - amazing how a little thing like a friendly phone call that can make such a difference to people, she taught you (and so us) a lesson there. She will be in my thoughts.
