...but I just heard that the singer Skeeter Davis has passed away... :<

I'll always remember her for being very sweet, and ... for knocking my socks off with surprise, when she *called me* a few months after I met her, just for a friendly chat. *boggle* Totally not a normal expectation of a celebrity... I almost couldn't talk. *ulp*
