A Homage

Once upon a time, there was an horse.
He didn't have an home or an house of his own, but even so, he was an happy horse. Additionally, the horse knew that it wasn't exactly an historical precendent to have an house, though he still yearned to one day own such an hospitable habitation.
Hence, he had heard of an heretofore hirsute homonid hoping to hasten his happenstances into such an home, so he hurried over to hear an hitherto unheard hustle.

Weeks went by, then months.. and the horse soon began to wonder if this homonid could hack it. Would he really be an hero and an helpful hired hand toward his home-hopeful hooves?... or just an hindrance?

He would never know... an hole soon fell out of the market, and he had to hie thee hither!

And so, a honor of ownership was never quite hewn, but he never was stranded nor homeless, for soon... an haystack ere beckoning as sufficient shelter, gave solace away from this H helter skelter :D

I caught your meaning from the outset, however, I always thought that "homage" was preceded by "an". It is the ONLY thing I DIDN'T get. Very creative on your part. Ever thought of teaching?

Yup... you're absolutely right..... in 'homage' the H is silent, so the word is treated as an initial vowel, and "an" is indeed the proper terminology :9

In my story above, care is taken to see than the rules are broken in every case, to emphasize the effect... *flufflefeathers* :>

And yep!.. that's part of what I do. Plan to get some additional certifications as time moves along, but you did hit that on the button. One of the nicest things in life is to see a smile and hear someone learn from something you can illustrate and help them learn.

Thanks for stoppin' in! ^V^

Exactly!

Watching the little light bulbs get brighter and brighter in their eyes is so awesome.

Somehow they find ways to brighten my bulbs too. That rocks.

Adorable story, thanks for sharing.

Have the best
