Enjoyable, but I must confess it's strange to read posts about carousels with no mentions at all of rapidtrabbit.

According to Austin's FriendList, it appears he knew Rapid. so chances are that they used to share carousel stories too ^v^ .

Aw, gosh, and thank you for the mention.

We were friends with Rapid T, partly through conventions and more through Livejournal; bunny_hugger particularly is a big carousel fan and there's fewer of those than you'd expect.

Sad thing is that in the summer of 2017 we went to Rye Playland and to various New Jersey amusement parks and I had thought briefly of messaging Rapid T to see if he'd be up for meeting us. But I wasn't sure we could organize that, and figured we could wait for the next time we were in town. And then just a month or so after our trip, Rapid T died. Also the cupola for Rye Playland's antique carousel caught on fire. The carousel wasn't damaged but the ride was out of order the rest of the year.
