Even with wristbands, verbal reminders, and other cues, there are still some folks in the medical industry who absent-mindedly might remove the wrong foot!
At a checkup today, after verifying who I was repeatedly, the check-in person started the interview, .. and kept asking "am I still taking ___ was I still taking ___ etc etc..." and after about 4 incorrect meds, I had to look over at the screen.. and the tech had a different patient's file open! The name was right there at the top of the screen!
I guess I could have made an issue out of it.. but I hope the med tech just learned a lesson and will always be more careful from now on... *sheeesh*

In lighter news.. how about them numbers! :D .. they shouldn't rule your life, but some are just fascinating...
On August 18, '18, at 8:18, my car hit 100,000 miles on the odo! And I didn't even plan it :D ! This is also the anniversary month of when I bought it!

The same thing happened to me at the dentist a couple months ago. That's why a guy I know refers to cautiously-designed systems as "fool-resistant" rather than foolproof. :P

Ever since 12-12-12 12:12:12 I've kinda lost track of fun date/time combinations, but I would agree 8-18-18 8:18:18 is also fair game!

I was waiting a long time for 11-11-11 11:11:11, and strangely people at work (who were wanting to leave for an early lunch) didn't see the significance of waiting around for it. :P Strange people in this world.
