Why does it seem impossible to find a FORTIFIED breakfast cereal that is not sweetened??

Is it possible that they could never make one that doesn't taste like chemicals?

It's almost the 3rd decade of the new millennium.. seems like it should be possible...

...but then again we still have celphones that drop calls too... ;P

Most breakfast cereals are pretty heavily sweetened, even presumably healthier ones like Wheaties, Special K, etc.

Fortified must be called such since it's probably fortified with sugar. DX

Judging from your icon I take it that you don't enjoy Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs?

They're kinda bland until you scoop sugar on 'em.

There was an old Duckman quote that goes something like "why can we put a man on the moon but we can't make a deodorant that works past lunch?" A question which promptly results in a supercomputer attempting to take control of the world, so be careful what you ask on the Internet!

I wish I had an answer for you but I'm hard-pressed to think of ANY cereal, fortified or not, which isn't composed largely of sugar. Anyway I kinda got away from cereal because it's nearly all empty carbs. Fortified ones are just empty carbs with vitamins sprinkled on top. So now when I do have cereal I am unapologetic about having sugar-encrusted shredded wheat, stuffed with fruit-flavored goo. After all, whole grains are good for you, right?

On a related note, I keep meaning to do a thing on youtube about side-by-side comparisons of "healthy" food and food one might assume to be unhealthy. For example, a taco salad at Wendy's is surprisingly terrible for you. Two empty slices of bread equal as many calories and carbohydrates as a bottle of Jones Soda (admittedly with less raw sugar). A veggie burrito has more calories than a large fast food burger. Crazy stuff.

And yeah, I hear ya on phones. I have a Galaxy S5 that I paid at least $400ish for when it came out... just 3 years or so later the battery management hardware died, it drops wi-fi dialed calls all the time, and would rather drop existing calls than roam on the network that gives me 3 out of 6 bars of signal. :| My last phone, also pretty high-end, had the GPS and camera give out. Grr.
