June leaves.... in July.....
Jul. 26th, 2017 11:55 pmI want to thank
Known for zillions of roles, especially Rocky the Flying Squirrel, she was and is a tremendous force in animation history, and a lovely person.....
The last time I saw her was about 3 years ago at a special event at the Magic Castle.. she was still getting out into the mix whenever she could.
June.. I want to thank you for your many chats and lovely hosted gatherings, and always bringing a smile with both your performance, and your sincerity...
A loss such as this of course tugs at one's heart, but living such a full life as you have, thru age 99, it's easier to remember all that legacy of good you gave us, so we bid you farewell thru a glistening tear... but with a smile that will always come from the memory of you....
... C .

Date: 2017-07-27 02:23 pm (UTC)There was an interview somewhere where they showed that she was the voice of both Rocky and Natasha.
Sad to hear that shes no longer with us, but its good to hear that she lived a full life.

Date: 2017-07-29 10:28 pm (UTC)I still feel hugely saddened at such news, of course, but somehow, it feels better, realising just how much joy they brought to the world, and probably had a whale of a time doing so. ^_^
It feels odd, not having heard about this until I read your entry - but then, I suppose it's been a particularly busy week. Still, for not even SLU to pick up on it - no matter, I've remedied that now.

Date: 2017-09-02 08:05 am (UTC)And a gain, now, for a marvelous friend who has well earned another orbit around the Sun.
Happy Birthday, dear C_Eagle, and please know that you are in my thoughts with a mountain of well wishes higher than the mountain where you and yours entertained us.
The year has claimed talents at some distance, such as June Foray, and some much closer including Albert Temple. But you and I have still made it, at least thus far, and there is much to do before we quit this mortal coil.
My father once said that his long life was influenced by a habit he had of collecting birthdays. Perhaps there's something to this, though he did die (accidentally) a few days before snagging his 90th.
May this note find you in excellent spirits and sturdy good health with wonderful prospects before you. And if that last bit isn't quite there, that might be the first project for this new orbit. I'd be pleased to help here. I can no longer dance or even stand up, but I can talk and I sure can listen.
Sincerely,
