I recently picked up this amaaazing heater on eBay ... and it is Awesome!

I think it is circa 1930s or 1940s ... Previously I was using some more recent one with a fan in it that blows the hot air out, and draws 1,300 watts.. yikes... So with all that blowing it was counteracting the warmth... plus this recent one only draws a consistent 330 watts! Keeps the legfeathers and talons from getting too cold... love this spiffy heater!

Date: 2017-02-11 05:28 am (UTC)heh... yeah, Old technology can be very tricky.. not near as many protections as newer stuff... duzzen haff to be scary tho...:> and this example is so simple that it's easy to comply with its needs as long as ya just don't do anything kooky or careless... like leaving it on unattended, or placing it near flammable things, etc... basic heater etiquette :} *waggle* (and yes, keep my tail feathers out of it too....!)
