Well, I've been maybe a bit too chompy with snax before bed...
I had a doc visit a week ago, and he did say I was in better shape than he is!
And my numbers looked pretty good, cholesterol, LDL, sugars, ... 'cept he did say my triglycerides could use some work.

How?
He said... get back to eagle cuisine... salmon! :D ..heh.. *wags feathers* ... luckily I like salmon, ....he also said lentils, yams and broccoli ...all good! Just a bit hard to find at taco bell :D

So I've been soaring and hunting 'em down this week, and did locate a few options... Trader Joe's dinners, local restaurants, ... trying to keep it under $10.. mixed results but not too bad, thank goodness.

Also gotsa cut back on them late night snacks he said, & salad dressings, sauces, fried stuff, and too many nutty chocolate bars :9 .. *sigh* well, maybe a few.....

I think I can, though gotsa make a conscious effort, like when I cut back salt and caffeine. Oh, and get the exercise going again.

Here's hopin' I can get it all in the schedule!

There must be a sushi joint or three nearby that would be happy to help in your endeavors. ^_^ 'Course, some sushi can be pretty easy to make at home, too, like dill marinated salmon - just take a good fillet, and dunk it in a bath of water, soy sauce, rice vinegar, plenty of dill, and a dash of sugar, playing with the proportions until you reach a level you like. There doesn't need to be a lot of soy, just enough for seasoning, allowing for the fact its impact is going to be diminished by being in a marinade, rather than applied onto the food directly. There does want to be a good bit of vinegar, to help with offsetting the richness of the fish.

Snacking is easily my nemesis at the moment - I'm a sucker for crunchy, savory snacks, especially crisps. =:/

I've stopped worrying about meeting certain numbers. I know it's all a statistics game. I just try to eat healthy "real" food in moderate portions. And I walk every day. As long as my blood work comes back reasonable, that's ok with me.

Another place where I've successfully hunted salmon, lentils, yams, and broccoli is a place called a "supermarket". *ducks, scampers, and hides*
