DOGGY

It seems we picked up a puppy... temporarily.... If any of you want a friendly golden-retriever mix, about 6 months old to a year old, please let me know. It's staying in the yard and we're giving it some food ... it just showed up the other day but the neighbors don't seem to know where it came from.
THANKS!

Did you chip-scan it? Most vets and animal shelters/rescues have them. That would be a first step, along with signs.

That was the first thing we did. No luck, alas.

Dang. One way to find an owner is to take it on some long neighborhood walks. Gets the pup some exercise and maybe someone will recognize it.

On the other hand, if the owners are so blasé about finding the pup, they probably shouldn't get him back. That kind of lack of concern on their part is disgusting.

I second the motion for picture! I know a few people who might be interested in him.

What else have you discovered about him? Housebroken? Fixed?

Come on back n have a lookit the photo, yupyup!
Dunno about the housebroken part... it stays in the yard, and is super bouncy and friendly, then it sleeps on the porch at the door, even though Jonas made it a little enclosure, it likes to be near the door ^v^

Adorable! I can't see his teeth...but are they puppy teeth or dirtier (ie, older dog?). A pic showing his teeth would help...(yes, never satisfied!).

Does he have blue or blue spots on his tongue? Also, fixed or not-fixed-yet?

From the one photo, he looks healthy; his coat is reasonably clean (not stray for long); and he's got adult-fur (so probably at least a year old, but I can't pinpoint more without seeing his teeth). That means he's probably got full-growth and looks to be about 30lbs. His reaction to cats would also be helpful (most prospective owners have 'em).

The more info you can give me about him, the better a pitch I can make to prospective adopters...

PS: he is used to sleeping/being indoors. That's why he stays so close to the back door-- he really wants in.

Brilliant! Puppies are so cute... until you have to potty train them!
