It has been nice in the past when I've visited...

...but, I went there to peek tonight, and *ulp*... their Friend's page says it's limited to 14 DAYS BACK ... Sounds a lot like the crap LJ is planning to pull here... :<

I hope they don't stick with it, but the shock of seeing it there at a bastion of hope is troubling...

C, live journal ALREADY limits the flist to 2 weeks. They have done so for years. Least, some filters are empty and the site errors saying there are no posts in the last 2 weeks to show data.
....found that out when my ex blocked me and went friends only.

Granted, I don't normally try I read back more than a week here. I'm quiet but I still read.

Wow... I thought I was gonna come here and be able to say "in my theme it works" (because I use an older theme that seems to protect a lot of older features).. but.... WOW.

That is sorta scary... but I guess it proves how little I really need that feature... at least so far....

But what about people who go away for a while and then come back? Reading all the diaries back is gonna be super tough for them... :/ ...
Well, at least I don't have the "endless scrolling" stuff yet in the way I'm viewing the stuff...

I guess I was hopeful about being able to go back endlessly because we could still do it last time I tried... :/

I had forgotten completely about the two-week limitation. It must be too long since I last read far enough back in my friends page to encounter it.

Fortunately, since nobody writes to Livejournal anymore it's quick to read two weeks of their activity.

Back in the day, before I knew about the aggregator gator, I'd just go to individual friends' pages and read back for a while when I'd been away that long.. I guess at least that is still possible... :>

I haven't gotten a big increase of emails or stuff... though, odd you should mention a spam xrush today, as it's been THE worst spam day I've ever had on my cel phone... :/

Not sure, we are both perm members. But some perms still see ads.
However, there are spam robots journals that post as if a user with a (I think) bad link over and over again. I used to RP my neopets and their journals get spammed.

Oh, btw, there is no more "paid user" status here. All elements are broken up a'la carte like JUST user pics, though those of us who are paid/perm have perks yet to be announced.

Luckily I don't see the ads (as should not), but then I might not even know if a few get by, because my NoScript add-on blocks a lot of nasty things that try to sneak into our browsers...
