Did you ever find someone asking you where you went to dinner, and you told them, "Ikea" ?

:D .... Seems they actually have a snack bar AND a restaurant/cafeteria!...
Sitting there immersed in the Swedish styling and language everywhere, staring out the windows at the countryside while I ate my Euro-dinner, one could easily imagine having been transported to Europe!.. At least for an hour or two..

(tasty and affordable too!)

Ha that's funny, even here people go to Ikea to eat sometimes. Interesting that they serve european food there as well!

I've heard they actually do quite well with their food service, much like Costco. Sometimes the big places will surprise you like that.

Ikea DOES have some good food! I don't blame you for eating there one bit.

And apologies for not responding to your messages yet, birdie. Been a bit nuts over here!

I've never been to an Ikea, but I have seen the in-store cafe' mentioned in their catalogs. One listing offered a hot dog for "only 69 cents with tax and mustard." I wondered jokingly whether the hot dog was flat-packed like their furniture ;)

For a time, I used to be a regular at the cafe's at Sam's Club and Barnes & Noble. Unfortunately, those places became crowded to the point where I couldn't reliably get a table, so I stopped. Sadly, I was most productively during that time artistically.

It's not flat-packed, but you do have to pick it up yourself.
