One time, after watching me at the sink in the morning, my dad told me I wash my face like a raccoon.

I took that as a compliment.

well, raccoons are known for neverending washing (i.e. hogging the bathroom). ;)

In French they are called "raton laveur" where "laveur" means "washer"! :D

Now we just need to find out which animal is named after grommets, and the washers will come running!

*giggles* French can be funny!

You lost me with the grommets, my English isn't perfect... *Googles it*

"gromĀ·met (grmt) also grumĀ·met (grm-)
n.
1.
a. A reinforced eyelet, as in cloth or leather, through which a fastener may be passed.
b. A small metal or plastic ring used to reinforce such an eyelet.
2. Nautical A loop of rope or metal used for securing the edge of a sail to its stay."

I'm sorry, I don't get it. *scratches his dumb head*

:D *hugs* I was trying to mention something that is often paired with 'washers' ... http://www.google.com/search?q=grommet&hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=s&prmd=imvns&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=phZUUK-xGObMiQLJ_4DgDw&ved=0CAoQ_AUoAQ&biw=1608&bih=798&sei=qxZUUPbpNaaSiQLI04HwAQ ...
Like a washer, but rubberized and often found used in conjunction with washers... thus the affinity ^v^

Did he mean that you wash a lot, or did he mean you went out to a convenient pond or river and scrubbed up there?

ROFL... perfect!! That would have been extra-hilarious if I had tried that... because at the time we were on a cruise ship, so there was definitely a convenient body of water nearby.... ;>

How do you wash your face like a racoon?

hehheh! He was referring to the way that instead of splashing my face in huge splashes, I was just pawing water up from the faucet repeatedly just into my eyes to get the sleep dust out... :D
