Here it is 6 am and I'm still not tired...

Another hour donated to daylight savings..... ;P

Can't we just keep it all year round from now on?

I know - I don't care which time they choose, just pick one and let's stick with it!

I'd rather fall back a couple times a month or week. Imagine all the extra free time.

There used to be very good reasons to do it.. but now that we're in a situation where electricity and lighting use have changed dramatically for most of us.. it's seeming an antiquated system.

Do you really want it to still be dark at 8AM in wintertime? The thing about daylight savings time is that, in addition to that extra hour of light in the evening, it also gives you an extra hour of night in the morning. People don't generally think about that, because in the summer, that extra hour of darkness happens while people are still in bed, so they never notice it. Not so in the wintertime. Nuh-uh...

Indeed good sir!... I've thought about that.... then again I'm more of an evening person, and likes-to-sleep-in person, so I don't mind the extended dark in the morning, cuz I don't really use it :>

I guess we can't have it both ways... some are going to prefer light mornings, some are going to prefer light evenings... *tailwags*

Hey, an extra hour of darkness in the AM works for me! I love it, actually. 'Normal' folks would hate it being dark at 8AM, though, and the sun would still set by 6, so the days would still be 'too short', and their mornings extra gloomy. That's the deception of DST. It doesn't lengthen the time of daylight by one single second. It just shifts the clock one hour forward, and on winter mornings, that shift is in the wrong direction.
