The thing was, he wasn't TRYING to score a TD. He was TRYING to go down on the 1 yard line and run out the clock. The Patriots actually GOT OUT OF HIS WAY to try and lure him into the endzone. It all worked out in the end anyway, but still, this one'll go down in the record books as being one of the weirder endings to a SB. :>
