Most of us are feelin' it, yep.. *hugs y'all*

So started a second job today too, to try to get few more breaths in between the crashing waves.
I do remember a time when my dad was even working 3 jobs, so it ain't that bad yet.... but he was raising a family!
rarrrr... >:| ....bleccchy economy.

I already miss the freedom, but the regular freelance just wasn't coming as fast as it should for a while now.
I know other people have had it worse though... :/
One friend who has worked at American Airlines for almost 30 years has been scaled back to less than half her rate, and they are telling them they'll have to buy their own health insurance in the next few months.
Many other friends who were in the art industry have taken severe cuts, and even lay-offs, while much of management still seems to be doing jes fine.. :P

Well, we'll see how it goes *rrrrrf*

And I wish all of you the best as we move through this tide also..
The eagle certainly empathizes widja.
*eeep* :|

Good on ya

for scoring a second gig (sez the gigless zzyzxian :)! Money good, more money better, up to a point. Guard well your sanity, I was working 60 hour weeks and thinking nothing of it, but then started 70's and well, it went down hill fast from there...

Is your schedual complicated? Might make checking out stuff and generally hang out with you a bit more of a challenge time wise I assume.

Ya, it's pretty fugly for a lot of folks right now :-/ Thanks for the commiseration, it does help :)

CYa!
Mako

PS: I hear that commiserating over a pitcher of beer and thick crust pizza is even more helpful ;-P

Hehe... I miss the days when Pizza Hut used to sell beer in pitchers. But then, I was waaay underage, so how can I have cared?

Because I want to do that now. Hehe.

Maybe if I move to Chicago... and you both will definately have an open invitation when I get to the Pizza capitol of the world!

*hugs* Yeah, it seems hard all over. I hope you can hang on to at least a portion of your freedom... at least until things start to perk up a bit. <=)

Blech.

I'd really just like to get fourty hours a week. Even at minimum wage, it would be an improvement. I might be able to put some money away each month!

And with the irregular schedule in catering, makes it hard to get a second job. Ah, well. Whining about it won't make it better for me.

Where are you working now, then?

Good luck Mr Eagle sir!

Man, just to be working nowadays is a blessing.
Too many folks I know are hurting in a *big* way.
Hope (fervently) that it works out for you, Mr.
Eagle :) I really hope that the economy at least
gets no worse... is it too much to hope that it
gets better? <:)

Aye....

Most people that I know are not doing well with this economy nad such. Seems that the only one that has managed to actually do well is myself. Only that really only counts for my finances... my personal life is so very much mucked up.

Worse then I would really like. I should just give up on other people. Between friends that lie to me... other friends that don't understand me... and other friends that say I'm a good friend but then hide things from me and not others it gets old.

Da ta da.
