carpet-o-phobia

Me bruddah has a cat who used to be a lovey-bouncy kitten.. but over the last few years has been quite the recluse, hiding nearly all the time and just coming out for food... then hustling back into the shadows.

Recently, he pulled out all the carpet and they stained their concrete into a stylish, clear-sealed flat floor... easy to clean, and no more carpet.
Now this cat has suddenly (after like over 5 years of being a hermit) become extremely sociable and loving again... *boggle*

Did Sigmund Freud ever encounter such a cat case? :D
