I don't recall this ever happening to me before...
This morning it seems a tiny lil wren or something was working on building a nest outside my window, and for over three hours it was challenging its reflection in the glass! :D
Not one of out better avian representatives... ;>
(hey now.. we've seen dogs n cats and other mammals with mirror-envy too!)
*chuckles*

Ahh the rites of spring: Finding a mate, building a nest, knocking your self absolutely silly pecking at your own reflection in the glass ;-)

A pair of bushtits did that in my last house. The female was watching the male attacking its reflection in my bedroom window.

It was cute because bushtits are cute. The male had yellow irises, while the female had dark irises.

I think you're right!

This thing might be a bushtit after all!
(Guys aren't allowed to say that word though, are they?)
:>

and there he was again, right on his shift today for another morning of window battles 8/
I may have to put up a towel or something so he can't see the glass..
