I thought you should know... I was just in Home Depot and they have the Elementals Hampton Bay Torchiere Floor Lamp # 297 097 for practically FREE! Just $5 !! So if ya need a lamp, it's hard to lose at that price..... wooot!

Our halogen torchiere exploded the other day, due to its being far too attractive to moths, so I was looking for a replacement.. and I hope this sale kin help some other folx too!
welp, I got it put together, which was really easy... it's basically a filler light if you are looking for some quick and inexpensive solutions. the transluscent area is plastic, the stand and post are metal, and it takes a 150 watt bulb. it's not the ritz... just a nice lil' solution if you are on a budget.
yesh! *fuzzles ye* ... well, we have move most of our bulbs also to the flourescent 60w light 21w power bulbs, but this one fixture was a halogen, and it really lit the one room nicely, so for this particular spot, we spent the extra dime... :9
I checked two Home Depots near me and they didn't have any $5 lamps, but one had a $9 lamp that I liked. All metal and a nickel finish, so I got it. I think I'm going to put a CF in it since I don't need a 150W heater right now. :)
BTW, I'm on SL now as Filia Sella, but between their crashing servers, slow lag and their worthless help, it's been mostly second rate life for me. I tried friending you, but I don't know if it worked. I can't get off Orientation Island and I haven't found any pmail (Is there one?). But I have met some other nice newbies and I can't complain too much since I will never, never, never ever give SL a credit card. They're too lame!
ooooh yeah! I wouldn't be slurprised if that wasn't the same lamp! The sign did say $9, but when I got to the checkout it turns out they were on sale for 5 ! (mighta been a local thing then)..

The servers spotty, the client iffy, but the people mostly nice... 'cept the clowns.. *LOL!* But yeah, overall there's plenty o' neat stuff to be found if ya look fur it! The pmail is the i.m. service.. it generally saves messages if one is offline. If you got it working though, you must have a nice system! 8> *pecks n preeens atcha*... I'll keep an eye out!
