ever get that feeling ya jus can't win?
Jun. 28th, 2007 07:41 amLike.. ah wanna be there for everybody, but it's almost always too much or too little. Why dat? :/
Wanna give smiles to everyones, but only so much time in a day.. and ..some can carry the smiles you give for longer in between those times.. Others don't, and give up after a while..
I've noticed a similar thing in my yob.. I usually jus' operate offa word of mouth.. recommendations and referrals... cuzza when I advertise, I get LOTS too many all at once, and inevitably some I have to schedule a little later, and thusly some will be disappointed a bit.
Why life gotta be dat way?... -_-

Date: 2007-07-10 08:31 am (UTC)While I admire your youthful enthusiasm, it was a matter of time before this would happen. Once I was like you, and I learned it the hard way that some people make use of this attitude. Especially in the furry fandom. You give them a talon, they take your wing so to say. And in the end they make you feel bad for telling them that you need that wing to fly.
Now, I am not saying you should become one of those grumpy eagles they used for the American Shield. Yes, I have become bitter at some parts. But basically I will treat my friends kindly, I give people second chances, sometimes even third chances, but when keep stabbing me, they face a raised tail so to speak.

Date: 2007-07-11 07:04 am (UTC)You have a pretty good way with words...;D
I'm glad the experiences haven't soured ya completely... maybe just given ya a few more tools to discern between the times to stick with the joy, and times to turn tail (as you so deftly and skunkily put it... hehe!)
hey!
Just thotta somethin' ... you ever have time to read books? The Celestine Prophecy is a really good quick read about how to detect problem potential in relationships, and also where we can improve ourselves as well... ^V^
Thanks for the caring comments!... *hughugs and wags his own non-spraying avian tail*
