Aesthetically, sure. However wings aren't actually going to let the character fly without various other adaptations (large flight muscles, light skeleton, fast metabolism, streamlined shape, aerodynamic tail). Purely decorative/symbolic immitations of functional mechanisms (e.g. little cherub or fairy wings) are fine, but personally I find accurate-but-nonfunctional replicas a bit sad.
