Never having been a 53r10u5 gamer, I missed out on most of the trends, playing them just a little at stores and at friend's places.
Some that I always thought were fairly lite anthro fun was Banjo Kazooie & Tooie ... just watching the antics and all those wacky sounds :>

I recently found out it only went up to Nintendo 64, and since the older consoles are now pretty chirp, I picked it all up for a few quid. *wags feathers* (even older Playstations and Segas they have!)

So I've been catching up, ....each game is like learning how to drive a different car! (but you all knew that awreddy) .. :> ... and also catching up with reading forums and info sites about it.
Here are a few nice images from the platform if you don't have 'em already...

(I hope those were fun!... if ya have a lil' extra bandwidth)
The ironic thing is that there seems to be talk that a third game will be coming out, skipping a whole generation of systems and going right to XBox360 :>

Be a long time afore I kin afford one of those... *heh* so... back to n64! *plink!* *ploink!*

p.s.

I missed around a little on my friend's Nintendo 64 a few years ago, but I could never use the control pad very comfortably.

If you like furry based games and are looking for a decent gaming platform, PS2s are coming down in price to make way for the PS3. If you get one, I recommend the SLY COOPER series of games. The gameplay is fun, the character interaction is engaging, and the storyline is pretty compelling =0) Check it out if you can.

I would also put the Neopets game in this category: Adventure/action game with animal characters.

Oh yes, there are at least two evil avians in the series. One is an owl named Clockwerk, whose hatred of the Cooper family ran so deep that he replaced his mortal body with a mechanical one so that he could continue his vendetta more vigorously. It's a great series =0)

Whee, old console games are the best! I never had an N64 though.

A lot of times kids used to ask me if Banjo was named after that game @_@

What's 53r10u5 gamer? Hehe, hope you are have fun play the games. Sega's Dreamcast is great for fighting games, if you like that category. But PS2 is backward compatible to PS1 for the most of games.:)

Glad you finally got the game you liked. I never got to play that one myself. However, I did get to enjoy the Donkey Kong series. As mentioned above there's a lot of furry themed games on the PS/PS2 but that's for a later time. Enjoy your N64!

Heya! *fuzzle* Thanks much!
Yeah, I did used to watch more stuff (and play) in actual arcades, and Kong was happenin' then big time!
Good to hear you're enjoying a good level of interactivity with the MMORPGs this year too!
