:>
Been writing some stuff to post later, but for now...
Does LJ seem to be acting verrrrry funny tonight?
Here's what I've noticed:
It won't let me login unless I turn off CSS acceptance. And this makes it look waaaaay different. But at least I can login.
Update goes right to advanced mode, EVEN though it says I am looking at the simple update page... and groups checkboxes show even without using the dropdown menu :P
There's a user/password set of fields, even though it shows me logged in. 8|
And, worst of all... the cookies seem to be malformed :<
Generally, I can set the 3-month cookies to be saved when all other cookies are trashed, but this isn't working tonight :<
And I don't wanna haveta use Mozilla, since it takes like 20-30 seconds to save images and even text (can u say molassssses...?) ;P
Not sure what to do... but Ithink I'll go to bed. *hugs where appropriate, and wingwaves where appropriate*.. G'night... I'll mebbe try again tomorrow.. :>

hi there itty bitty birdie!
Date: 2004-07-06 02:41 am (UTC)I'm using iCab (http://www.icab.de) as always, since it is THE least crashy browser in existence that I've found. :9
There's no error message... just that it never loads.
I didn't disable javascript on this instance.. but I have *many* different java acceptance choices that I have toggled in the past *purrgle*
*chuckles and wags about the advanced mode comment... and fuzzles your feathers* ^v^
I''ve actually been using the "no css" mode for a day now, ever since this incident, and I'm really enjoying how fast everything loads... AND... how wonderful it is to no longer see pages wit sloppy coding show up as black text on black backgrounds, and those peculiar layouts with alternating lines of colors and shades that make things SO distracting and hard to read. :9 *chirp*
I got to look at Firefox and Thunderbird at the Apple convention... and though I like the designs *very* much... Firefox has a way to go on features yet... and besides that, I can only use it in system X, as they are another firm which unfortunately iks overlooking backwards compatibility.. *sigh* How hard is it to spend a few days extra coding for that...?
Anyways.. thanks much! ^v^
