For years, my hi-fi system had a nice Denon CD player which had built-in pitch adjustment. I haven't used it much in recent years and it's moved in and out of storage a few times.
Now it's been having trouble playing the beginning and ending track areas of CDs, .. so I figured a replacement one was in order (or to get it fixed). I opted for the replacement, and so I got my first DJ CD deck.

This allows the pitch control, and even if that's become easy to do digitally, it's still nice to do it live if desired. This was only about $40 used.
One thing that did shock me though... I didn't double check ahead of time to see if this deck has a headphones jack like most things do.. and it doesn't! Freaky! Guess it'll always have to go through the amp..
