If you suddenly realize there's people you haven't seen for while, they probably just hi-tailed it to Facebook or Telegram ... :|

I haven't really used LJ regularly in years. My first journal page with my last 25 entries takes me all the way back to 2012. It doesn't help much that this site won't work right if I have trackers blocked. I can't read comments unless I turn 'em all off.

I'm still here, but I don't have much to post about. :)

Here I thought this post was going to be about the classic British movie starring Malcolm McDowell.

Still here. Though some art is on FA.

Mm, every few years, some new hotness emerges on the “social” scene, and everyone flocks to it - or, more accurately, furrydom shards yet again. =:/

LJ suits me well. I can be verbose, occasionally eloquent, and catch up with friends as and when I have time, whether that’s a couple times a day, or at the weekends. And thankfully, enough fuzzbutts remain to keep it enjoyable - and I’ve even found some particularly cool humans hereabouts, too. =:)

I honestly don't understand why it's not more popular. I mean granted my experience here is a bit different as I am a paid account, but... minimal data-mining, more "rambling" allowed, etc.

Facebook really is quite evil, given their blatant, almost malware-esque attempts to exploit their users' private information, even to the point of asking for passwords to various accounts (?!). Twitter is less malignant and a good source of headline-level information, but it is by definition meant to be superficial.

Dunno.

In other words, thanks for reminding me of one of my favorite songs from the 70s. >.>
