Have you ever gotten to hear this musical progression arrangement (where instruments/elements keep getting added as the song moves onward)... in stereo with headphones on? 8}

(the LJ-Embedding code looks to have been BROKEN by by LJ during this new "better" revamping of the main page, etc, so I'll just have to put in the direct link for now... sheeesh...)

Song As Noted Above ..

I remember you shared this with me some years ago. I enjoyed the additive progression in the song as well. I worked to do the same in my earlier recordings. Thanks for reminding us of this great piece of music =0)

Odd! Tried to load that, but after the iPad switched to the YouTube app, it reported it couldn't load the movie. =:P

Ah well - maybe it's one of those odd ones where there isn't an MPEG-4 version, only Flash-wrapped.

You would love the early 70s recordings arranged by Stéphane Venne. He loved to use musical build-ups, crescendos and big orchestras. He recorded several hits in Quebec for the artists he produced.

Here is an awesome example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9OIY-ForMQ

Not actually that much of a build-up, but the layers of instrumentation and the number of instruments is awesome, not to mention the excellent stereo mixing.
