Called "heartbreakingly brilliant" by one reviewer on Amazon, Jeff Lynne sings backup on this performance from Del's final album...

This track is a complete revelation to me. It's one of the most perfect rock melodies I have EVER heard. I mean perfect. When was it recorded? I can't believe I've never heard this song before.

Yo buddy!

Comments I dig, and especially comments on music-related entries because they tend to be less generating of them....

I've followed Jeff Lynne's work like forever.. ^v^ ...and Del Shannon is fairly boss too, so I think I caught it through the grapevine right about the time it actually came out and picked it up... Been listening to it since day one... but I was just scootin' thru some tunes last night and the overall theme was drivin' me toward wanting to roll this tune again (my collections are mainly on cassettes that I haven't played that much this last decade)... SO I went to see if it was on YT and shore nuff.. there tizz ^V^ ... Glad ya like eet, and thanks for lettin' me know! It's my favorite track from the CD... I hope it will bring you endless joy and repeat listenings too... maybe go grab a DL from Amazon and you can pop it on yer mp3 player too! *winghugs*!

He even puts his own distinctive stamp on everything he touches, like:

- Roy Orbison - You Got It
- George Harrison - When We Was Fab
- The Beatles - Free As A Bird

and I love his solo album Armchair Theater!
