...that my folks had. Man what a mess. I restore a lot of these things, but geeeesh... this one is so scratched up, it's like every millimeter of it needs attention. ;P

In the world of computers, the most important thing that gets the lowest priority is Doing Backups.

One could say an analogy in photography is also backups... the most would-be-helpful thing that gets the lowest priority is, ...keeping negatives. :|

I keep all our negatives. Unfortunately we lost all of our older ones from before fall 1976, because my brother and I messed around with them as kids. :-(

The nice thing about old film photography is that it's real. Saw some entries in a photo contest recently that pretty much looked like fake landscape.... Pretty.... But sad when people think they're real. Reminds me a bit of some online Photoshop art someone was promoting as oil paint... If it's got more detail than a PreRaphaelite painting and took less than a day... The artist is either using Photoshop or lying about the time. The unnecessary details...are a big clue to the arts origin as a photograph or drawing. You probably already know this.... I just get sick of fakers claiming a filtered photograph is painted intimidating artists who draw. Young artists need to know their hand skills are less common than people think.
