Communication, Telecommunication . . .
Dec. 19th, 2011 11:15 pmI spent all those thousands of dollars on a college degree to improve communication in the world... through entertainment, information, and just plain good communication practices.
...but over the years, I've been gradually coming to realize that many people really enjoy impeding communication, or sometimes even seem incapable of good communication :|
The first issue is worse: when people do everything they can to block or withhold information. Most stories and sitcoms are actually based on different characters having different levels of information, and the slow revelations and confusion that this brings.
Now all that is fun and good in a sitcom, but life supposed to be better than a sitcom. For those who endeavor to prevent good efforts at communicating, life will be a sitcom for them and their unwilling victims.
If people want to improve their lives and society itself, it's a good idea to try the best we can at improving communication in every way possible. In doing so, we can accomplish a lot more in our given allotment of time on this planet.
