checking in youth

anecdote: Many many years ago, I wrote a cheque to a friend for 1 million _smiles_ ... :D .. They put it up on their refrigerator as a fun reminder. I guess it's a testimony to *whew* their trustworthiness that they never tried to cash it for leeegal tender!
