Just a quick note to say that over last few weeks I've started from the beginning and have been reading (most) of my old LJ entries (and the wonderful comments too)....
It's so fun to revisit all the times, ups and downs (mostly ups) ^v^
...but one thing that is rather sad, as you might expect, is to go through and read so many comments from lovely people I cherish.... and who don't use LJ any more... -_-
I'm up to around 2014 and at that time there was still a pretty good contingent of folks commenting... but some years after that it has been dwindling...
It's been a fairly stable crowd the last couple years, but I just wish they all could still be here too. Many were hit by a bolt of internet-lightning, and scattered to lots of other websites and utilities... Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, Telegram.. who knows what else...
What is the psychology of it? Not sure... I'd love to still be following them, but I only know where some have gone... and, why wouldn't they keep watching the LJ feed too?... Considering it takes so much less time than it used to, it's even easier to keep following things here, methinks :>
One think that is a factor, is that it seems blogging itself has become a bit less of a pastime, so that could be part of it. I'm thankful that many here still do though...
I dunno... maybe I'll just go live on a desert island and drink pineapple juice while I write music and prose on my old Royal...
