Mar. 1st, 2011 02:18 amI was watching YouTube tonight and running across a couple songs (Western Union by Elvis and Too Much Monkey Business, also by Elvis though Chuck Berry kicked out a great original)....
How many people ever sent/received an actual telegram? :D
One time I sent one, back in the 1980s, as a birthday or mother's day surprise.. and they did love it!... I will say I got quite a surprise at the cost.. hehheh! (about $20 for just a few words)... freaky huh? Especially when compared to texting and i.m.ing these days...
AND... anybody out there remember when, if you lost a coin in a pay phone, the company would MAIL you a replacement coin? :D *chuckles n waggles* ..That one actually happened to me quite a few times!
