new LJ look
Sep. 5th, 2003 05:43 amOkay.. I tried it for a bit.
bleah ;P
The color is nice, but the pages display like near havoc.. as if there is no thought to the organization of them.
So then I tried the LYNX view for most of the reading ... now that was kinda cool. Very uncluttered, clarity in getting to actual content on the pages, and like almost zero use of the HD with reading and writing into the cache.
But then I went to try to use the Lynx view to work on my own entries page, and all those handy options that were on the left side before (Your Journal, Settings, Find, etc) were gone! Only the basic basic ones are shown in the Lynx view, so how do you update your journal with that?? *scritches head*
And with that New View, ya haveta scrollllllllll all the way down to use the features, many of which have text obliterated by big blocks of near identical color... wassup wif dat?
...so back to the time-tested browser view option for me.
I spend too much time here to squint at teeeny text :> *wagtail*
