THIS PAGE really saved my feathered tukas, when I accidentally changed a security setting while flyin' through pages too fast. (one of those stupid Windows things where the box gets unchecked if you accidentally click NEAR it, don't even have to click IN the box and it unchecks it..) ;P
Many MANY things not configurable in OPTIONS-TOOLS are adjustable using "about:config"..... fancy that! 8>

...so maybe this page can help you sometime too. ^V^

about:config is one of those really mysterious realms that most people never even know exits. But why, why, why does everything have to be so complicated? I just want to surf the web and avoid ads, spams and worms. I don't CARE if it can kern my characters. Just gimme the peoples.

I use K-Meleon, which has the same about:config screen. However, instead of using that screen, I add my usual settings and tweaks to user.js to make it easier to copy those settings to other K-Meleon builds.

Feathered tukas.... *falls over laughing* I'm sorry but that just sounds very funny to me :)

I really should update to Firefox 2 but I can't be arsed at the moment I'm afraid.

I'm noticing some weirdness after upgrading to IE7 with annoying pop-up menus that appear in the wrong place and vanish when you move the mouse to them.
Mouse interfaces usually have some glaring inadequate safegaurds for hazards. It's amazingly easy to lose track of a directory with a wayward click that drags it over (and into) another one. :P

I looked for it in IE and it doesn't have it.. hehheh! weird, since it does have "about:blank" .. :D

...and I can't find that user.js file on my system, so I think I'm stuck with this.... which is okay, just not super-well-known.

The file doesn't exist by default. You need to create it by hand in your profile directory and Firefox will read it in on startup.
